Max Leible - MANAGING PARTNER

Max Leible is an M&A professional with nearly a decade of experience across buy-side and sell-side investment banking, transaction advisory, and proprietary deal origination. Over his career, he has completed more than 250 transactions representing over $1.5 billion in enterprise value in essential, non-discretionary, and mission-critical industries, including Business Services, Consumer Services, Industrial & Infrastructure Services, and Specialty Manufacturing & Value-Added Distribution.

He has extensive experience advising private equity firms and their portfolio companies, originating and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, and supporting due diligence and post-close integration initiatives that drive value across the deal lifecycle.

As Co-Founder and Managing Partner of AlphaCurrent Partners, Max leads firm strategy, research, and deal origination, delivering proprietary, thesis-driven investment opportunities to private equity and corporate clients.

Prior to founding AlphaCurrent, Max served as Vice President of Deal Origination at BowPoint, where he became the firm’s leading deal originator, sourcing 34+ proprietary opportunities representing over $443 million in enterprise value over approximately four years.

Previously, Max was a Director at R.L. Hulett & Company, a middle-market investment bank, where he led buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions in industrials, plastics and packaging, food and consumer, transportation and logistics, tech-enabled services, and healthcare.

Max began his career at Aon plc (NYSE: AON) as a Mergers & Acquisitions Consultant within its M&A and Transaction Solutions practice, advising private equity clients pursuing acquisitions and supporting due diligence, integration planning, and financial impact analysis.

He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Finance from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, graduating magna cum laude, and an MBA from Washington University’s Olin Business School in St. Louis. Max is also a Fellow of the Koch Center’s Own-Operate-Invest Program. Outside of work, he enjoys running, hiking, traveling, percussion, and fishing.
